So lovely to meet you,
If you're here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change. Reaching this point takes courage, and it's the first step towards moving forward. I understand that reaching out can feel daunting. That's why I aim to create a calm, supportive space where you can feel comfortable, listened to, and in control throughout the whole process and why I think it's important that you know a little about me.
Before becoming a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I worked as a Physiotherapist within the NHS for over 30 years. During that time, I saw first-hand how powerful the mind could be. I noticed that patients with a more positive, hopeful outlook often experienced better outcomes, while stress, anxiety, and low mood seemed to significantly impact recovery. This sparked my interest in the connection between mind and body, and ultimately led me to train in hypnotherapy.
Alongside my professional experience, I also bring a deep personal understanding of the challenges that life can present. As a single working mother of two—now a teenager and a young adult—I have navigated the realities of balancing work, family life, and the pressures of modern living. Like many families, we have faced our own difficulties, including periods of trauma and mental health challenges. These experiences have given me genuine empathy, resilience, and an appreciation of how complex life can feel at times.
I understand how overwhelming things can become, and how important it is to feel supported, heard, and not judged.
My approach is grounded in both professional experience and real-life understanding, offering a calm, supportive space where you can begin to move forward without looking back.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, allowing me to work safely with both adults and children, including those who may be more vulnerable. I am also a student member of the CPHT (Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training), the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy), and the AfSFH (Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy), and I am committed to maintaining high professional standards and continuing my professional development.
